The results of the KICKS ARE FOR KIDS- NIKEiD Shoe Design Competition are in!
Congratulations to all 20 semi-finalists! Your shoe designs show amazing creativity, originality and design inspiration. Together we raised over $7,400 for Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest! Because it takes $1,000 to support a match for one year, the $7,400 raised gives 7 more children the opportunity to have a Big Brother, Big Sister or Big Couple.
Many thanks are also in order to the numerous supporters who donated.

In the News
Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest is proud to rank #5 among Oregon's Most Admired Companies for 2008.
This marks the second year in a row that the agency has appeared on the Portland Business Journal’s non profit list. Lynn Thompson, the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, attests the high ranking to the phenomenal staff, board, donors, volunteers and families the agency is so grateful to embody. “We are delighted by the 2007 and 2008 recognition from the community,” says Ms. Thompson. “This distinction makes it possible for us to further our profound impact within the community. Our goal is to transform our community by serving at least 10% of the children in need by 2013. That is 6,000 children. Every life we change has a ripple effect - in children's classrooms and families. We are changing the way children grow up in the Northwest.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters named the 2007 Exceptional Oregon Mentor Award
Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest has been named the 2007 Exceptional Mentor Program by Oregon Mentors.
